The thunder from down under Neil Robertson is through to the final group stage of the Championship League after a resounding 3-0 win over Jamie Cope in the final of todays Group 5. Robertson reached the playoff's with 3-2 victories over both Cope and Walden despite losing out to Barry Hawkins in his second last match.
Four wins from six was good enough to leave Robertson in second place behind Cope and gave him a semi final match against Mark Williams who had a great run of wins today to finish third. Williams defeated Cope, Harold and then Hawkins in which he finished off in style with a superb 143 break in only 7 minutes.
He had no answer for Robertson however who ran out a 3-0 winner before going on to beat Cope by the same scorevline to book his place in the final later this season.
The next stage will see both Walden and Harold relegated while Hawkins will join Cope, Harold and Williams in tomorrow's group and will be joined now by Mark Allen, Stuart Bingham and Joe Swail.
