Snooker Scene's Dave Hendon is reporting on his blog that the World Series Event scheduled for Saudi Arabia next month has now had to be cancelled. Apparently Eurosport have been unable to secure the necessary broadcast licences to enable them to broadcast from the Kingdom. This is yet another blow to John and his manager Pat Mooney who have run into several stumbling blocks in the first two years of this venture. With Mooney now a board member at the WSA one would have thought that the World Series would now go from strength to strength but this latest setback may force them to rethink the direction of the series, as Dave suggests in his article.
