Last years Championship League champion Judd Trump is through to the finals of this season's event after he won today's Group 3 final beating Mark Allen 3-2 in the final.

Trump finished first in the group losing out only to Stephen Hendry 3-2 early on yesterday which rather surprisingly was Hendry's only win over the two days play.

Victories over Allen, Perry, Carter, Fu and Robertson followed along with four century breaks including 118, 108, 103 and an even 100 as he notched up the wins. Trump faced 4th place Ali Carter in the semi finals this evening but breaks of 42, 59 and 92 saw the youngster through with ease 3-0 to the final.

The other semi final saw 2nd and 3rd place Marco Fu and Mark Allen face each other and again youth won out with Allen compiling breaks of 103 and 57 along the way to win 3-1.

The final saw Allen take the first frame before Trump leveled with a 64 break. Allen took the lead again with a 45 break before Trump knocked in breaks of 71 and 76 to take the next two frames and progress to the final group stage later this year.
