Ronnie O'Sullivan is the first player through to the semi finals of the 2010 Masters at Wembley thanks to a 6-3 victory over his old foe Peter Ebdon in today's afternoon session.
Ronnie and Peter have had a few memorable clashes over the years and Ronnie stoked the fire earlier this week when he mentioned how slow Peter played in an interview.
Slow it certainly was not as Ronnie opened up a 4-0 lead thanks to breaks of 92, 53, 74 and 55 in an impressive first session. Peter however is never one to give up and fought his way back into the match with the help of a couple of 30+ breaks in the next two frames to make it 4-2.
Breaks of 52 and 44 gave Ronnie the next frame to leave himself only one frame from victory but another 30+ break saw Peter claim another frame back before Ronnie finished off the match in style with a superb 106 break.
Ronnie will now have a day's rest before Saturdays semi finals and will now face either Mark Williams or Shaun Murphy.
