The annual Irish Snooker Classic is taking place again this year in Celbridge Snooker Club in Co.Kildare with the likes of Ken Doherty and Joe Swail confirmed in the line up.

They will join organizer Fergal O'Brien, Mick Judge, Joe Delaney, David Morris and amateur invitees Rodney Goggins and Martin McCrudden in the eight man invitation event.

 

This will be the fourth year that Fergal has run this event with a then very young David Morris picking up the title beating Fergal 5-3 in the final. Since then both Ken and Joe Swail have shared the honours with Fergal just missing out in the final the last three years.

This time round Fergal will square up against Rodney Goggins in the first round on the 24th of July, Ken will face Joe Delaney, Judge will face Martin McCrudden and Joe Swail will do battle with Morris. Matches will be played over two days with the final set for 7pm on Sunday the 24th.

Irish Ref's Shane Corr and Niel Shanahan will officiate at the event which is sponsored by Lucan Racing, The Spa Hotel, The Mucky Duck Pub, Brenfer Trophies and EJ Riley's.
