Ken Doherty is a huge fan of 6 Red Snooker but he didn't knock in many 6's when the upcoming 6 Red World Championship organizers held a Charity Golf Day recently down in Beaufort Golf Club in Killarney.
40 three man teams attended the superb days golf in aid of the Make-A-Wish foundation and it was Ken's team who ran out eventual winners on the day with a huge total of 50 points.
Best ball counted on the day and Ken's team of himself, Pat Caulfield and Dave Egan burned up the course late in the day to take first prize from a couple of teams who scored 48 points.
Players attended from all over the country to support the event and the charity by playing in the golf and attending the auction later that night in the Brehon Hotel.
They even had EBSA Secretary Maxime Cassis play in the golf with an EBSA team (Pictured) made up of Maxime, European Champion David Hogan and Ex-European Masters and Team Champion Joe Delaney who scored a very respectable 43 points on the day picking up 3rd prize in the Non-Official Handicap section.
The 6 Red World Championship Web Site is now live and has all the info on the event due to take place in Killarney, Ireland from the 15th to 18th of December.
