Asian Championships gets underway

The 2009 Asian Championships has got underway in Tansheng, China today with only match being played. Tomorrow will see the rest of the high quality field get thier campains underway and with a main tour nomination at stake their will certainly be all to play for. Asia's top names will all be in contention including the likes of Aditya Metha and Manan Chandra from India, Thailand's James Wattanaa and Issara Kachaiwong while China boast a very strong contingent led by Yu Delu and Tian Peng Fei. 

With 18 countries taking part in all it should be s superb championships and come the 10th of May we will have our champion and the newest addition to the professional main tour. One player that wont be taking part however is newly crowned Asain Billiards Champion Pankaj Advani who unfortunatly had to withdraw from the event but with Metha seeded Nno.1 for the event India will still have a shout at the title.
