Welsh pro Daniel Wells is currently out in Thailand taking part in the SangSom Hua Hin Cup 2009 as a wild card and has put in two superb performances to date to reach the quarter finals. The youngster who stayed on the main tour this year after a teriffic run in the World Championships defeated Dechawat Poojang 4-1 in the Last 16 to reach this stage.
Wells had defeated Opas Suwannarat 4-1 the night before in the wild card round and is quickly becoming a favourite out at the event which includes some of Thialand and China's top players including Lui Song, Praprut Chaithanasakun and another former World Champion Chuchart Trairattanapradit.
Tuesday night will see the newly crowned Asian Champion James Wattana face Atthasit Mahitthi in thier Last 32 match after the match was held over until the end of the event in China.
